Mission Darts is pleased to announce the signing of exciting youth prospect Hudson Cooper.
The 11-year-old from Leeds has caught the eye on the Yorkshire Darts Clubs (YDC) circuit this year, reaching a pair of finals in Division 2 and making the quarter-finals in several Division 1 events.
Earlier this week, ‘The Hornet’ posted his highest average in a competitive match, averaging an impressive 81.78 in his quarter-final match at the YDC Division 1 event at Stanningley Rugby Club.
Cooper has also played against some of the sport’s biggest names in exhibitions, taking on the two-time world champion Adrian Lewis and recording a 2-1 win over the former Masters winner Joe Cullen.

On signing for Mission, Cooper said: “I’m very excited to be joining Mission. It’s a nice feeling to see my name with all of the other great players in the Mission Academy like Lex Paeshuyse and Bobby Haste, who I’ve become good friends with.
“I got a dartboard for my seventh birthday and this year I’ve started playing in a lot more competitions. I’ve really enjoyed playing in the YDC events and improving my game playing against lots of different players.”
Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I was told about Hudson a month before he came into Darts Corner for a Precision service, so he was already on my radar. Once I got to know a little bit more about Hudson I realised he's the perfect fit for the Mission Academy.
"Not only can he play darts, but also football and what a golfer he is too. It's nice for these younger players to have other things going on and it gives them plenty of time to decide on which route, if any, to take, and with a very supporting family what a great position for Hudson and other young players to be in!"
