Joyce Agrees New Deal With Mission

Mission Darts is delighted to announce a contract extension with two-time PDC Players Championship title winner Ryan Joyce.

‘Relentless’ joined Team Mission in 2021 and has continued to make strides on the professional tour, appearing in two major semi-finals and breaking into the world’s top 32 for the first time.

The 39-year-old from Newcastle won his second PDC ProTour title with a victory at Players Championship 26 last year, before playing in his first major semi-final at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead a month later.

This year Joyce qualified for the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix for the second time, and made the semi-finals of the latter event which helped him move into the top 32 on the PDC Order of Merit.

Last month, Joyce defeated three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen in the Grand Slam of Darts and also reached the quarter-finals of the Players Championship Finals.

He now prepares for a seventh consecutive trip to Ally Pally for the PDC World Darts Championship, with an opening clash against Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas for the right to play Danny Noppert in the second round.

On signing a new deal with Mission, Joyce said: “I’ve been with Mission for a while now and everything has been nice and smooth and very professional. I like the equipment they provide and there was no reason not to continue with them.

“Mission have signed a lot of players since they signed me, a lot of very talented players, and it’s exciting to be a part of a team like that. They’re heavily invested in young players and trying to bring them on. It’s an exciting project.”

Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I’m very happy that Ryan has signed a new contract with us at Mission. His performances over the last two years have been impressive.

“Listening to his recent interviews, Ryan wants to try and find that extra five per cent that will take him to the next level and secure a top 32 spot.”
