Mission Darts is pleased to announce the signing of ex-PDC professional Matthew Edgar.
With a decade of experience playing on the PDC tour, ‘Prime Time’ qualified for the PDC World Championship in three consecutive years from 2019 to 2021, before recently returning to the oche with victories in the WDF-ranked Iceland Masters and Slovenian Open.
The 37-year-old has grown a large following online through his YouTube channel, Edgar TV, where he provides darts fans with news, practice routines and a behind-the-scenes look at life on the tour.
Edgar joins Team Mission as a player and ambassador.
On signing for Mission, he said: “I’ve always enjoyed the Mission brand. I feel the Mission brand produce the very best darts accessories in the world. When the chance came up to be able to use and even have my own products produced by Mission, it was a simple decision to join the brand. I can’t wait to use Mission’s products on a daily basis.”
Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “It’s great to have Matt with us. With his experiences as a player on the PDC tour and his popular YouTube channel, I’m sure he will bring a lot to Team Mission. He is also trying to qualify for the Lakeside at the end of this year and I look forward to working with him to help achieve that goal.”
Mission brand manager Andy Cornwall said: “Delighted to have Matt on board. The Mission YouTube channel better watch out now Matt’s about!"
