Mission Darts is proud to have presented a cheque for £5,000 to the Northern Ireland-based charity Sensory Kids this week.
The money was raised from the sales of Mission player and recent Dutch Darts Championship winner Josh Rock’s limited edition darts, with £5 from each set sold going to the charity.
‘Rocky’ is an ambassador for Sensory Kids, a charitable organisation in his home of Northern Ireland which provides children and young people with a safe and secure environment to reduce their anxieties and promote their development.
Only 1,001 individually engraved sets were produced of Rock’s limited edition darts, which were made to celebrate his memorable first season on the PDC tour and his PDC World Youth Championship title win.
Rock said: “It was a nice touch from Mission to give £5,000 towards Sensory Kids, which I’m an ambassador of. It’s nice to help out kids with Autism and to give the charity an amount like that to help them push forward.”
Mission player liaison manager Gary Taylor, who visited the charity to present them with the cheque, added: “It was an honour to be invited across to Sensory Kids to present the cheque to them and spend the morning looking at the great facility and services they provide for the kids.
“The variety of rooms and equipment they have to help all ages was fantastic to see and a real credit to the hard work they have to put in, and to have Josh as an ambassador can only help them further. Well done to all involved and keep up the great work.”
