Ryan Joyce continued his excellent form on the European Tour with a run to the semi-finals of the Austrian Darts Open in Graz on Sunday.
‘Relentless’ kicked off his latest run with a 6-4 win over Finland’s Teemu Harju on Friday, before averaging 102 in a 6-1 demolition of Ryan Searle the next day.
On Sunday, Joyce posted 95 and 97 averages as he got the better of Dave Chisnall (6-3) and Damon Heta (6-1) to advance to the last four, where he was beaten 7-4 by Ross Smith.

Wessel Nijman also made the final day in Graz, averaging 95 and 102 in victories against Willie O’Connor (6-4) and Mike De Decker (6-4), before bowing out to Chris Dobey in the last 16.
The recent German Darts Grand Prix saw Cam Crabtree notch his first win on the European Tour stage. The new PDC tour card holder defeated Luke Woodhouse 6-5 in the opening round.
Joyce (quarter-finals) and Madars Razma (last 16) both made it through to the final day of action in Munich on Easter Monday. In the last 32, Razma knocked out the ninth seed Danny Noppert (6-2) with a 96 average, whilst Joyce averaged 101 in a 6-0 whitewash of the seventh seed Heta.

Dominik Gruellich enjoyed a dream run to his first ProTour final at Players Championship 14.
The young German, who is in his first season with a PDC tour card, knocked out the former world champion Michael Smith 7-4 in the semi-finals, having earlier picked up wins against Ryan Meikle, Alexander Merkx, Daryl Gurney, Maik Kuivenhoven and Dirk van Duijvenbode.
The 23-year-old’s run came to an end in the final after losing 8-2 to an in-form Jonny Clayton, who averaged 109 to deny him the title in Rosmalen.

The latest Players Championship double-header also saw Wessel Nijman and Martin Lukeman make the quarter-finals of Players Championship 13.
The highlight for Nijman came in the opening round as he closed out a 6-0 whitewash of Rob Owen with a nine-dart leg and averaged an incredible 111.33.

Robyn Byrne reached her third final of the year on the PDC Women’s Series at the recent weekend of action in Rosmalen.
The Irishwoman, who had finished runner-up in Events 3 and 8 earlier in the year, made it through to another final in Event 12, where she was beaten by the Women’s Series leader Beau Greaves.
Byrne also made the semi-finals of Event 11 and sits in fifth place on the Women’s World Matchplay Order of Merit, with the top eight after Event 16 set to qualify for the Winter Gardens competition in July.
Oskar Lukasiak remains in a provisional spot for the World Championship after reaching another final on the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour.
The Swede made the quarter-finals of Event 5 and the final of Event 6 in the latest weekend of action held in Iceland.
Lukasiak sits in second place on the Order of Merit with the top two players at the end of the season qualifying for Ally Pally.

Dennis Nilsson returned to the winners’ circle on the WDF tour after winning the Estonia Open in Tallinn earlier this month.
‘Strongman’ defeated Belgium’s Sybren Gijbels 6-2 in the final to pick up the bronze-ranked title, having also made a pair of semi-finals the previous weekend in the Faroe Islands.
This past weekend, Nilsson reached the quarter-finals of the Iceland Open as he closed the gap on the provisional seeding positions for Lakeside to just four points.

Elsewhere, Peyton Hammond won his first WDF men’s ranking title with a victory at the Salmon Harvest Open yesterday.
The 16-year-old defeated Rory Hansen in the final to clinch the title and become one of the youngest winners of a WDF senior tournament on the men’s circuit.

The 15-year-old’s 33.97 one-dart average earned him the man of the match award in their Division One clash against West Midlands.
Lex Paeshuyse added another title to his collection with a victory on home soil at the Open Niel over the weekend, whilst Alfie O’Flynn Rogers picked up a tournament win in the Clacton Youth Matchplay.
Recent Mission Academy signing Ethan Baines reached the final of Event 10 on the JDC Foundation Tour earlier this month.
The 15-year-old averaged 90.18 in his 3-0 win over Charlie Greensmith in the last 16. Further victories followed against Matthew Helyer and Kaleb Gascoyne took him through to a decider with Arthur Allston, who prevailed 5-2.
The following day Baines continued his good form with a semi-final run in Event 11, whilst 10-year-old Addison Hefferon caught the eye with a quarter-final appearance in Event 12.
