Mission Darts is delighted to announce the signing of Norwegian youth international Mathias Myrvang Isaksen.
The Oppegård teenager, who turns 17 today, won two national titles at the recent Norwegian Championship, picking up victories in the Chicago Boys and Boys’ Pairs events.
‘The Norwegian Fella’ has represented his country on several occasions, including in the JDC World Cup and the WDF Europe Youth Cup.
Myrvang Isaksen made his debut on the PDC Development Tour in June this year, and is set to compete in the WDF World Masters and WDF Boys’ World Championship qualifiers next month.
On signing for Mission, he said: “I want to thank Mission for putting their support behind me. I first saw darts when I was watching the World Championships on TV and I started playing after that.
"I practice every day for 3-5 hours to improve my game. I’m looking forward to playing in the World Masters and the JDC World Cup later this year and testing myself more on the Development Tour.”
Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I first met Mathias on the Development Tour a few months ago and straight away saw he had a lot of potential.
“It’s great to see the progress our players in the Mission Academy are making and each week we’re seeing them go out and impress us with their performances on the oche. I’m sure Mathias will be making a name for himself too with our support from Team Mission.”
