Archie Self achieved perfection after throwing the first nine-dart leg of his young career at the weekend.
The 14-year-old landed a nine-dart finish during his match against Jack Mayoh in the Burghfield Darts Events Grand Prix on Friday night.
It has already been a memorable 2024 for the Mission Academy player, who topped this year’s JDC Advanced Tour with four tournament wins across the 16 events.
Elsewhere, Daniel Stephenson secured a spot in the England B team for the JDC World Cup of Darts later this year after winning through the play-offs on Saturday.
The 16-year-old dropped just three legs in his victories over Zach Godber (6-1) and Leo Howard (7-2) to earn his place in the competition, which takes place in Gibraltar from November 28-29.
Stephenson will be one of three Mission Academy players representing England at the World Cup, with Archie Self and Kieran Thompson both part of the England A team.
Meanwhile, it was a successful weekend on the INDO circuit for Robyn Byrne who won a title and finished runner-up in the two ladies’ events.
The Team Mission player averaged 85 in a 5-0 whitewash against Katie Sheldon in Saturday’s final, before being edged out 5-4 in the decider on Sunday by her Irish international team mate.
