Mission Darts is thrilled to announce the signing of Belgium’s 4 Nations boys’ singles winner Lex Paeshuyse.
The 12-year-old, from Rijkevorsel, has already made a big impression on the darts scene in Belgium, winning many titles and beating several high-profile players in open tournaments.
Paeshuyse reached the final of the WDF-ranked Belgium Open youth event in 2023, and this year represented his country in the 4 Nations, where he went all the way and won the boys’ singles title.
The youngster is targeting a spot in the JDC World Cup of Darts and JDC World Championship later this year, whilst he has already secured a debut appearance in the WDF World Masters in October.
Paeshuyse’s coach Benny de Laet said: “As his coach, I dare to say that Lex is a potential asset to the international top level in the darts world. We see him grow again and again every week, but he is aware that the road the highest level will also be a learning experience.
"His dream is to break through and who knows maybe even as a professional darts player. A good start to this process is the dedication and strong mindset with which he trains, but not to forget that it remains fun. Game on.”
Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “Lex is a very talented young player and someone we’ve been keeping our eye on for a while now. I visited Lex and his family in Belgium last week and it was great to meet up with them in person and officially welcome them to Team Mission.
"Belgium has become a real hotbed for darts in recent years and I’m sure Lex will be another player the Belgian darts fans will be watching play for many years to come.”
