Rhian O’Sullivan has become the first female player to reach 100 caps for Wales.
The Welsh women’s captain started representing her country in 2008 and was presented with her 100th cap in Merthyr Tydfil on Sunday.
O’Sullivan capped off the weekend by defending her Welsh Individual Championships title, defeating Eve Watson 5-1 in the final to regain the Sandra Greatbatch Memorial Trophy.
It was a Team Mission double as Llew Bevan also successfully retained the Leighton Rees Memorial Trophy, beating Terry Nash 6-2 in the decider.
The pair have been selected to represent Wales at the upcoming WDF Europe Cup in Slovakia (September 24-28).
Two players from the Mission Academy went home with silver medals from the WDF Europe Youth Cup in Latvia last week.
Germany’s Yorick Hofkens came close to defending his boys’ singles title, losing out to Jenson Walker, of England, 6-3 in the final.
Hungarian ace Balazs Szotak made a run to the final of the boys’ pairs, alongside Levente Sepsi, where they lost 5-3 to the English pairing of Walker and Alfie Busby.
Thomas Banks struck perfection during his run to the semi-finals of the Warwickshire Open on Saturday.
‘The Bulldog’ threw a nine darter in the second leg of his group match against Noel Grant, and went on to reach the last four before being edged out 6-5 by Steve Hine.
And finally, Alan Soutar and Connor Scutt both took part in the Operation Bullseye darts exhibition in Blackpool on Thursday night.
The exhibition was put on to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, and saw 16 professionals team up with a military darts player for a pairs competition.
Mission was a proud sponsor of the event which raised more than £13,000 for charity.
