Based in Skellefteå, the teenager has played in national tournaments in his home country, reaching the semi-finals of the boys’ singles at this year’s Swedish National Championships.

Nordström is set to make his debut in the WDF World Masters in Hungary later this month as one of the invited players from the Swedish Darts Federation.

On signing for Mission, he said: “It means a lot to sign for Mission. My goal is to be better every day and being with a company like Mission is only going to be good for my career.

“Working with Darryl (Fitton) and listening to his feedback will be a big help for me to improve my game. I want to thank Mission for this opportunity to be part of the team.”

Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I first become aware of Liam through a friend of mine in Sweden who told me how much talent he had and at such a young age.

“I met Liam in Riga at the WDF Europe Youth Cup and saw for myself the potential he has. I’m pleased to welcome Liam to our team of exciting young players in the Mission Academy.”
