Devon Petersen has blazed a trail for African darts both on and off the oche.

‘The African Warrior’ has been competing on the professional circuit since 2009 with one of his earliest big stage appearances coming at the 2009 South African Masters, in Johannesburg.

The South African-born thrower won a tour card at Q-School in 2015 to join the professionals on the PDC tour, and a year later made the decision to relocate to the UK.

Petersen made history for his continent when he became the first African player to win a PDC ranking title, picking up the German Darts Championship crown on the European Tour in 2020.
