Nijman Signs New Multi-Year Deal With Mission

Mission Darts is thrilled to announce a multi-year contract extension with one of the sport’s hottest young prospects Wessel Nijman.

The Dutchman had a debut year to remember on the PDC main circuit in 2024, winning his maiden senior title at Players Championship 24, before breaking into the world’s top 64 by the end of his first season.

The 24-year-old also finished as the runaway leader at the top of last year’s Development Tour Order of Merit, picking up an incredible seven titles during his final campaign on the PDC’s youth circuit.

Nijman’s outstanding season on the Development Tour secured himself a debut in the Grand Slam of Darts last November, where he hit the headlines with an eye-catching tournament average of 107, but still finished fourth in Group H.

In December, Nijman claimed his first win on the Alexandra Palace stage as he beat South Africa’s Cameron Carolissen in the opening round of the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship.

The victory moved the 12-time Development Tour event winner up to number 55 on the PDC Order of Merit - and still with another year on his first tour card to go - he will only continue to climb the rankings in 2025.

On committing his long-term future to Mission, Nijman said: “I'm very happy to be here and to extend my contract with Mission.

“I think 2024 couldn't have been much better than it was, not only the way I played but where I stand right now in the rankings.

"At the moment, I'm in more major tournaments than I was last year. I want to try and play in as many major tournaments and Euro Tour events as possible this year, play as much as possible, and try and get better results than 2024."

Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I'm delighted that Wessel has committed his long-term future with us at Mission.

“He's such an amazing talent and I'm excited to see what he can achieve in the future."
