Burton Agrees New Mission Deal

Mission Darts is pleased to announce a multi-year contract extension with PDC tour card holder Stephen Burton.

The 38-year-old from Ipswich joined Mission in February 2023, shortly after claiming a PDC tour card for the second time at Q-School.

‘Bertie’ first joined the PDC ProTour in 2017, following a successful campaign at Q-School, and made the last 16 of the 2018 Players Championship Finals before going on to debut at the PDC World Darts Championship a few weeks later.

After losing his tour card at the end of 2019, Burton made his mark on the PDC Challenge Tour with a pair of titles in 2019 and another title in 2022, before regaining his tour card in 2023.

A further two appearances at Alexandra Palace have followed for Burton in the last two years and, despite finishing 66th in the PDC world rankings at the end of the 2025-26 season, the Suffolk star successfully won back his tour card in January, topping the UK Q-School Order of Merit with an impressive 14 points.

On signing a new deal with Mission, Burton said: “I’m really happy to sign again with Mission. Gary (Taylor) and Darryl (Fitton) have given me lots of help and support and they’re always there for me if I need anything.

“I was delighted with how Q-School went for me and to win back my tour card straight away. My goal is to get back in the top 64 by the end of the next two years so I don’t have to go back to Q-School again!”

Gary Taylor, Mission’s player liaison manager, added: “It was a no-brainer to offer Stephen a new deal. He’s a gentleman on and off the oche and I was thrilled to see him get his tour card back at Q-School.

“We’ve been supporting Stephen for the last few years and he’s been a pleasure to work with. Long may that continue!”
