Hammond Joins Mission Academy

Mission Darts is delighted to announce the signing of multi-time Canadian youth national champion Peyton Hammond.

The 16-year-old won both the Las Vegas Open and Canadian Open youth titles this year, helping him to become the number one ranked Canadian in the WDF boys rankings.

The Victoria, British Columbia teenager picked up his first Canadian National Junior title at the age of just 13, before going on to make history as the only player to win the same title in three consecutive years.

'The Kid' made the trip overseas to compete in the recent WDF World Masters in Hungary, where he reached the quarter-finals of the World Open, losing out to Archie Self, the new WDF boys world champion.

On signing for Mission, he said: "I am overwhelmed and can’t believe my dreams are coming true.

"This is what I have always wanted to do and I’m so happy I’m getting a chance to make it a reality."

Darryl Fitton, Mission's player development manager, added: "I'm happy to have Peyton on board with us and part of our exciting group of players in the Mission Academy.

"I've heard a lot about Peyton and the success he's had in Canada, winning lots of titles at a youth level and now he's making a name for himself in the men's competitions as well."
