Junghans Signs For Mission

Mission Darts is pleased to announce the signing of Swiss international Thomas Junghans.

‘TJ’ reached the semi-finals of the World Masters in 2015, and more recently made his debuts in the PDC World Cup of Darts and WDF Lakeside World Championships.

The 47-year-old first made his name in soft tip darts winning the NDA World Darts Championship in 2006, before focusing on steel tip where he has picked up numerous titles around Europe.

In 2023, Junghans won four WDF ranking titles, including the Swedish Open, and made his WDF World Championship debut as a late replacement for Luke Littler, winning through two rounds to reach the last 16.

He returns to the Lakeside next week as the ninth seed in the men’s draw and starts his campaign against either James Beeton or Bradley Kirk in the second round.

On signing for Mission, Junghans said: ““I'm on cloud nine right now to be signing with Mission.

"I'm happy to be working with Mission, who will help me to get the best out of myself in the future.“

Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I’ve known Thomas for a number of years now and he’s a quality player. He’s gained a lot of experience over the years and I believe he could be a good addition to Team Mission.

“I’m looking forward to following Thomas’ progress at Lakeside next week. He was a late call-up last year but comes in as the ninth seed this time round, which goes to show his consistency and commitment to the WDF tour over the last 12 months.”
