Mike De Decker World Series

Mission Recap - De Decker Impresses On World Series Debut

Team Mission’s Mike De Decker impressed on his World Series of Darts debut as he reached the final of the Australian Darts Masters.

‘The Real Deal’ was invited as one of the eight PDC representatives to play in the double header of events held in Australia and New Zealand over the last two weekends.

After beating home favourite Brandon Weening 6-2 in his opening game in Wollongong, De Decker was in fine form as he brushed aside the world number one Luke Humphries 6-0.

The Belgian averaged 103 and took out a 167 finish on his way to a whitewash win over Humphries, before beating Chris Dobey 7-4 in a closely-fought semi-final to set up a showdown with Luke Littler for the title.

The first four legs of the final were shared before a three-leg burst from Littler helped him take control, and the reigning PDC world champion would keep hold of his advantage to run out an 8-4 winner.

This past weekend, De Decker competed in the New Zealand Darts Masters in Auckland and followed up a 6-1 win over Gordon Mathers with a 6-2 defeat to Littler in the quarter-finals.
