Mission Darts is delighted to announce the signing of the Belgium youth international Senne Aerts.
The 15-year-old is the second Belgian to join the Mission Academy, following in the footsteps of the 2024 JDC world champion Lex Paeshuyse.
The Heindonk-based teenager started playing darts in late 2022 and has quickly made an impression in competitions on home soil and also around Europe.
Last July, Aerts took home the bronze medal in the boys pairs event at the WDF Europe Youth Cup, as he teamed up with Ilyano Snoeys to reach the semi-finals.
In January this year, he narrowly missed out on a tour card at JDC Q-School on legs difference, having made runs to the quarter-finals and last 16 in two of the four events.
On signing for Mission, Aerts said: “I’m really excited about joining Mission. I’m happy that I got this opportunity and I will do my very best in the years to come.”
Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I’m pleased to welcome Senne to the Mission Academy. I met him in Belgium recently during Mike De Decker’s launch event and he’s a very laid back character, but is also very passionate about the game.
“He was unlucky not to get a tour card to play on the JDC Advanced Tour this year, but if he can polish up on a few things then I believe he has a very bright future ahead of him.”
