Sidney Joins The Mission Academy

Mission Darts is delighted to announce the signing of talented youngster Sidney Hopcroft.

The 11-year-old from Aylesbury has competed in some of the JDC’s flagship events in recent months, including the JDC Super 16 and the inaugural Junior World Masters.

‘Sid The Kid’ qualified for the first ever Junior World Masters as the JDC routines top scorer in the first season at the Bradmoor Farm Academy, and was one of the youngest competitors in the 247-player field in the tournament.

Hopcroft started playing darts at the age of eight and has already made an impression in the senior ranks, reaching the quarter-finals of an ADC Vault event in October 2025.

On signing for Mission, Hopcroft said: “I'm so excited to be with Mission. Darryl (Fitton) has already helped me so much and given me great advice to help me play better.

"I absolutely love darts, playing and following all of the other great players. I hope I continue to improve and one day get my tour card and win some big tournaments!"

Darryl Fitton, Mission’s player development manager, added: “I was told about Sid when I was at Bradmoor Farm last year and when I saw him for the first time I was very impressed.

"I was especially impressed with Sid's manners and the way he conducted himself. He has a really nice throw and his board management is excellent, so I'm very happy he accepted the offer to join the Mission Academy!"
